One Solid Example of how to Save Problem Photos
This scrapper's camera, for some unknown reason, turned all the photos of her beach trip into fluffy pink cotton candy photos. She was despondent, trying to save these memories. Luckily, she went to a local crop, and took her photos with her. She compared the photos on a variety of backgrounds and discovered an important fact:
Using an optical illusion, overwhelming the photo’s tint with background and embellishments of similar (but more saturated) hues, drowned out the flaws in the photos.
Compared to a plain white background, her photos had a definite pink tint. But like these illusions, one of the ways we gauge colors is by contrasting them with colors in their environment, and by increasing the pink in the environment, she made an illusion of the photos looking more natural.
